These iChatAV (Version 2) pages are coloured Green and have the iChat 2 icon on them that was in use at the time, so you know where you are. The icon differs from Version 1 by having the camera logo added.
These pages have sat here since 2008 with no update. In that time the AIM servers have been closed down (2017) and iChat has been superseded by Messages. That effectively make this a sort of Historical Document of how it worked.

This is the iChat 2 Accounts Preferences.
The Enable AIM item and the Logout Button has disappeared from this set of Preferences and now this is controlled by the Log out Status item in the iChat Menu
The Status items that were also here in iChat 1 are on the General Pane, making this Pane look quite small
You can have extra Screen Names here, accessed by the Drop Down shown at the end of the Screen Name line but you could not change until you are/were logged Out of the AIM Servers.
If you do not enter your Login Password iChat will ask you for it each time you Open iChat.
As you can see from the picture immediately above the Server Options button also becomes active when you are logged out of iChat.
At one time there were alternative Server names you could enter here.
The (Login) Port which by default is 5190 is listed here. If your routing device can only do Port Forwarding it can pay to change this port in this space to one below the 1024 threshold. We (Edit 2024: a bunch of regualr posters on iChat) suggest on the Apple Discussions Forums that port 443 is used as in most routing devices this is already open and in the Mac firewall is used by Web Browsers for secure sites and by Mail for the same purposes. If you have a Zyxel modem you will need to do this anyway.
Although Proxies can be set here reports on the Apple Discussions suggest the System Wide Settings in System Preferences > Network work better. They do not fully show up here until you put a tick in the Box (this is an iChat 1 Picture as little has changed otherwise).
The next Pane is Messages
