At the time this Menu was Screen grabbed none of the window this menu effects were the front one.

Mostly these become Active when the Buddy List is the Front window and a Buddy Is Highlighted. Some then still require that the Buddy is in the Address Book withan Email address to allow that link option to work with Mail.

The Add Buddy will be active as it is shown as a starting point if the Buddy List is the front window. If a 1-1 Chat is the front Window the Buddies Name will be in square brackets at the add Buddy point. If they have been previously added they will then be greyed out.

Essentially it is where you can start Chats or add Buddies

Confirmed to work with Win/IE 5.5 and later (should work in 5.0, but not confirmed), Firefox 2, Safari 3, Opera 9, iCab 3.02 and later, Mac/IE 5, Netscape 6 and later

Old browsers (IE version 4 or earlier, Netscape 4 or earlier) should only see a text-based page which, while not the prettiest option, is still entirely usable.
