2 Adding Buddies From Buddies Menu |
02-10-2006 |
|
There are two ways of using this menu (more variety) but we will stick with one picture.
One option for adding a Buddy is whilst a chat in operation or in fact just the window is open after a chat is ended and is to use the "Add Buddy (Screen Name)" or keyboard stroke from the Buddies menu.
This can be used in with any Chat window - Text, Audio or Video Chat. This will lead to the Window in Picture 4 (and 5 & 6)
The same menu can be used when a Chat is not open and this just reads "Add Buddy" then and leads to the screen in Picture 3

About This Page
Same as Picture 1 in this series except starting from the Buddies menu.
There is one picture here but two options for starting from here.
One is when a Chat window is open.
The other is as an option to the Plus Button at the bottom of the Buddy List (Picture 1 in this series) when the Add Buddy line just read "Add Buddy"
Compatibility
Confirmed to work with Win/IE 5.5 and later (should work in 5.0, but not confirmed),
Firefox 2, Safari 3, Opera 9, iCab 3.02 and later, Mac/IE 5, Netscape 6 and later
Old browsers (IE version 4 or earlier, Netscape 4 or earlier) should only see
a text-based page which, while not the prettiest option, is still entirely
usable.
